This is my second order of 2 bookcases. This rating is based on first order since the second order has not arrived yet. These are fully assembled and beautiful. They are very sturdy. Ordered the chestnut, but it is more like a standard oak color.

Service and delivery comments:

Note that the products come delivered in boxes, stretch wrapped and on a pallet. The packaging is great for protecting the bookcases. However, the delivery person will drop in driveway and not take any packaging materials away so be prepared for disposal of packing/shipping materials.

The bookcase is gorgeous. It's well-made, sturdy and made of richly textured wood. The backing is fake wood but the rest appears to be real. Most of the back panel should be hidden by books when the shelf is full anyway. The design on the window of the top door makes it look expensive. Overall, it's a quality piece of furniture and it was about half the price of most barrister bookcases I found online.

Service and delivery comments:

Delivery was terrible. I ordered this on 11/12 and didn't receive it until 12/9, almost a month. Even though it was going from CA to NH, I think that's excessive. The original order estimated delivery of 12/2 so I knew it was going to be slow. However, the shipping company had the bookcase in Boston on 11/29 and didn't call to schedule delivery. Ultimately, I called them to schedule. Then they had a breakdown of a truck and still didn't get it to me on the promised dated. When the did get it to us, there was one clip that holds the top window in place that was broken; I'm not sure if that was done in shipping or before.
