I'm not a big fan of cork wood furniture, but that's what this book case is made of[...] I expected it to be made of more sturdy wood. The photo looks like a dark cherry would, but I received black. However, it does display well and has enough space for my display items & books. I'm not completely disappointed, but it'll do for now until I find something better. I would recommend this as a "just starting out" piece of furniture.
