      The product is solid wood and attractive. Had quality control been better, it would have been perfect. The varnish was splotchy and not smooth, but since it will have books on it that's not a problem. The only problem I had is that the product had a warped board on one side. I thought I was assembling it wrong since I couldn't get the top board to line up flush with the side boards. It soon became obvious that the left side had a bow in it that prevented proper assembly. This one should not have made it out of inspection. I used Haybucks to purchase this and didn't spend a lot, so out of sheer laziness, I kept it. I would not have kept it if I paid full price. It is not worth the list price.
      Everything else I've ordered from Hayneedle has been great. But this has put the brakes on my shopping fever and the poor quality control will keep me from ordering any other products from this manufacturer.

      Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
