Grooved pediments and crown molding underscore the traditional design, while charcoal gray metal bands accent the top and bottom, connecting this bookcase with other pieces in the Bush Birmingham office collection.


Covered by a six-year manufacturer's warranty, this bookcase has a total of five shelves to display your favorite books and accents in style. Shelves one and three are stationary. Shelves two, four, and five are adjustable.

I read all the comments about this bookcase before I ordered it. A scratch was mentioned on both side panels, midway. I purchased it anyway as the sides would not show. I did get one with scratches. I also bought because I knew the BUSH PRODUCTS. They make good products. I am very pleased with mine. I would recommend these.

I like the way this piece looks all in all, and how much weight it can bear. It was also easy to put together. It was disappointing, however, that the "wood grain" on the decorative trim was peeling off in some places and one of the shelves was chipped but I let it go because the chip was in an inconspicuous place.. I was able to use a furniture marker on the spots where the paper was peeling off and now it is barely noticeable. All in all, I am very happy with it for the cost - everything else I was looking at at this size and load-bearing capabilities was a couple hundred dollars more.

      A nice bookcase for a fair price. While this isn't high-end furniture, it has a very lovely appearance and is a good value for the money. It was pretty easy to assemble. I did it by myself with a power screwdriver, hammer and regular screwdriver. Assembly took about 45 minutes. We have the bookcase loaded with very heavy books without any problems. It looks quite nice in our livingroom/entryhall.

        A: The back panel is very nice thick cardboard with the color of the unit facing the front of the bookcase, that gets nailed into the back of the unit.
