    Bookcase is very strong and holds hundreds of pounds of books. Great finish but had small chips out of finish on side panels. Assembly instructions forgot to say put wood grain panel to inside...dumb me. Found out after 100 nails. would recommend to real book collectors. could be made wider

      This shelf is beautiful for books and file folders. The folders fit in very well with none protruding outside the shelf. The shelves can be adjusted to your choice. just great bookshelf.

      What is not so good about it is that the back board of the shelf is made of flimsy cardboard wood (composite plywood). Also the removeable shelve boards could have been made more sturdy to be able to withstand more weight. Otherwise perfect bookshelf.

      Service and delivery comments:

      Delivery was earlier than promised. Excellent. Product arrived in good condition. Fedex driver helped to move package upstairs because it was quite heavy.
      Upon assembly, discovered that the adjustable shelve boards are not so sturdy and could potentially bend under book weight. Also the back of bookshelf made of thin & flimsy cardboard wood -- kind of too cheap for beautiful shelf as this.

      Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

      i needed wide shelve unit for my sewing room to fit all fabrics and boxes and this one is perfect. Very easy to put it togather. The back of the unit is thin sheet, so when use it make sure not to hit it. The quality is ok, but the price is right.
