Disappointing. For the money I would have expected solid wood components instead of 4 mm paneling cut-to-size. Panelling also rendered the finish non-uniform, i.e. panels lack the sheen and depth. Assembly was challenging due to warpage (cupping) of rear panel. Also use of allen screws slowed the assembly.

we use this in our livingroom to store piano music for our children. each of them can store their pile of song books on a separate shelf where they are easily accessible.it was easy to put together, looks good from afar, and serves our purpose of storing each of the kid's books neatly and separately. we were hoping it would be better constructed...the back piece is flimsy and doesn't fit well into the side pieces; and it's pretty tippy. but i guess at [$], what can you expect?we were disappointed in the condition in which it arrived...dents and scratches appear to be in the manufacturing process, rather than, the shipping process.

I needed a bookcase to supplement the one I already have. This one has a nice look, but is somewhat smaller than I expected. The shelves are sturdy, but don't expect them to hold multiple volumes of encyclopedia books. Additionally the shelves are a bit narrow. Overall, I am content with this bookshelf as a supplement to the one I already own.
