Please note: This bookcase is made of hardwood solids and veneers which create a more durable piece of furniture than using solid wood which may warp and bend, and eventually crack. The veneers are made of thin hardwood solids and then finished with lacquer (7-step process) over and over to create a surface that is even, smooth and resistant to denting and scratching.
