Get two of them, separate them about a foot, then put a stained five foot shelf on top for paperbacks, and you've got an incredible amount of footage for the price.They assemble easily, though attaching the back to the foot piece is a little tricky.[...] the hardware bag often gets torn, scattering pieces throughout the carton; some of the shelves had scratches. But this is not a living room unless you're an impecunious instructor.For folks who just want a lot of cheap shelving and who can't put up wall shelves this bookcase is a good choice.

I bought this shelf in cherry to store baby items. It is sturdy, but I was disappointed that the backboard is black cardboard on both sides rather than printed to at least match the cherry color as the picture depicts. Still serves it's purpose well.

Have a lot of books and needed extra shelving to match the white ones I already have. It would have been perfect except the back is cut out of some flimsy fold up material that looks like it was torn out rather than cut out.
