Both the bad the the good point of this Baby Bookcase resides in its small footprint: 13 inches wide by 9+ inches deep. The bad possibility of the case is that since the footprint is so small, it can easily tip over. The good possibility of the case is that since the footprint is so small, it can be used in spaces formerly considered unusable for bookcases. The saving prospect of these bookcases is that they come with a plastic "tie" with which you can secure the bookcase to a stud behind the wall surface. Just find out where the wooden support stud runs in the wall by using a magnet, then screw the tie into the top of the case and the opposite side of the tie into the stud above the top of the case. No one sees the tie because the top of the case hides it, and the problem of accidental knock over or earth quake is solved before it occurs. The material from which the case is made is composite wood chips called press board. The Strength of the press board is not premium but for the price of the unit you get a needed deal.[...]

I desperately needed more bookshelf space, so the idea of a bookcase wall was just awesome. I bought the regular bookcase & inner corner one, & was a little surprised to discover that the pics here must be airbrushed. Most of the shelves do not have the finish on the bottom, so the particle board this is made out of is clearly visible, & the holes drilled in the sides for assembly are roughly done, so the plugs provided conceal the screw, but not the frayed wood around it. Plus, right out of the box these shelves look more cheaply made than how they are presented here.
As for assembly, the regular bookshelf was pretty straight-forward (if you've put one bookcase together, you can build 'em all). However, the inside bookcase was the first piece of furniture I've ever put together where I really could've used a 2nd person. There were seperate pieces for the top & bottom part (stacked on top of each other), but the instructions made no mention of the difference, or even that there was a difference. And after it's finally put together, nailing the flimsy paperboard backing on straight is almost impossible, since you can't lay down the now-finished case to make sure it's nailed on right (so definitely a 2-person step).
Overall, the bookcases will do, & I really like having an inside corner one, but I'm a little disappointed in what I got. I expected something a little nicer than college dorm fare, but "buyer beware..."

Comments about Premier Build Your Own Wall Bookcase:

I have used this as a corner bookcase in our summer home and display a good deal of my golf memorabilia. Very attractive piece.

    Service and delivery comments:

Unfortunately it was delivered to the wrong unit and I needed to move it to my unit two floors up by myself.

Comments about Premier Build Your Own Wall Bookcase:

Upon receipt, I thought the wrong item was shipped. The packaging seemed to reflect what one would presume to be the corner bookcase or baby bookcase.
It was extremely easy to assemble. Ends of shelves chip easily so be mindful of how you maneuver or place them during the assembly.
Overall, it serves its purpose..... yet much narrower than imagined and definitely not sturdy. A slight bump will topple it. This is a piece of furniture good for a small den or children's room.

Comments about Premier Build Your Own Wall Bookcase:

I purchased a corner cabinet and bookcase for my books and a "baby" unit to use in my bathroom for towels and bath supplies. My space, especially in the bathroom was limited, and these worked nicely in the space that I have. I have been pricing cabinets/bookscases for a while and thought the price of these was very good. They appear to be quite sturdy and I was able to assemble them rather easily myself.

Comments about Premier Build Your Own Wall Bookcase:

I purchased this book shelf to hold my son's books and some various keepsakes in our front room. Overall I was happy with it. The only thing I would like would be for the shelves to be a bit deeper. I wanted to display my 12X12 scrapbooks on it but too much hangs off the shelf. Other than that I am happy. It seems quite sturdy and is nice looking.
