Didn't realize that some of it was composite wood. It had a big crack on the side of the bookcase but too expensive to send back. We covered it with black marker. The back...Read complete review

Didn't realize that some of it was composite wood. It had a big crack on the side of the bookcase but too expensive to send back. We covered it with black marker. The back of the bookcase is very cheap looking and you can tell by looking at it that it is a piece of pressed board or almost cardboard. I guess we got what we paid for.

      We ordered this bookshelf on a Thursday and were pleasantly surprised to receive it the following Tuesday.
      My husband was skeptical about what it would look like and how it would look once assembled. He feared nail holes, etc. I assured him it was returnable.
      Much to our delight it is high quality! It looks exactly as it looks in the pictures. It was easy to assemble. Also, it is very heavy...about 98 lbs.
      I couldn't be more pleased! I truly love it and would buy another if I can find a place for it! Exceptional value . . .so thankful I found Hayneedle!!
